LaStoria Merlot 2019

We harvested the 2019 Merlot Block 500 grapes on October 7th. The average sugar at harvest was 25.5 Brix- ideal for making high quality, age worthy wines. Post pressing the wine was racked twice and pumped into 24% new, mostly French and other European oak barrels, the rest went into older , mixed barrels. Majority of the wine for the final La Storia blend came from Block 500 with few barrels added from block 510. Our 2019 La Storia Merlot is and has been consistently fine example of the ability of this classic Bordeaux variety to make solid, tasty and age worthy wines. The main aromas and flavors are of dark cherry, plums, a bit of black licorice and herbs. The new oak barrels contribute a touch of vanilla, brown sugar, cocoa dust, and toast. On the mouth the wine is soft and viscous, balancing the acidity and the tannins well for such a young wine. The finish is long and soft with suggestion of sweetness backed by ripe tannins. This wine will age well and will reward your patience if stored well in the next 3-6 years.

LaStoria Zinfandel 2019

All Zin blocks in 2019 were harvested in early October with very balanced ripening with “normal” sugar and acidity due to the long and relatively cool ripening season. About 10% of the grapes were fermented in small ½ ton open top fermenters for additional complexity of aromas and textures. The wine is bright and lively with intense “Zini” aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, and plums and some of the typical raisin aromas. The fine oak barrel aging brings in subtle aromas of vanilla, maple, cinnamon and slight toast and smokiness. The mouth feel is solid, with medium to full body and very soft and elegant tannins that accentuate the wine’s long and juicy finish with lively acidity. Zinfandels when balanced are very versatile food pairing wines with broad range and this wine will satisfy your palate with many of your favorite dishes. The wine is delicious now but with some patience and proper aging in 2-5 years it will be even better.

Macauley Old Vine Zinfandel 2017

Garnet black color. Curious aromas and flavors of toasted coconut dark chocolate bark, caulk, pencil eraser, and roasted beets and oranges with a silky, vibrant, fruity light body and a polished, intriguing, medium-long finish with notes of spicy blueberry rhubarb pie, chocolate nut bar, and schmaltz almond cookie with no oak flavor. A statuesque zinfandel with deeply concentrated flavors and a generous finish.

Langetwins Petite Sirah 2018 Diablo

Extraordinarily deep in color, our Petite Sirah opens with aromas of ripe blackberry and blueberry. This initial bouquet carries through to the palate where the flavors meld with warm spice tones from 12 months of aging in Neutral French and American oak barrels. Finishing with well-integrated tannins, this wine is the perfect pairing for bold flavors.

Langetwins Barbera Macotera 2018

As a varietal, Barbera naturally has lighter tannins and higher acidity than other red varietals making it a great wine to pair with a variety of foods. Our 2018 vintage boasts an intriguing herbaceous-sage quality that integrates with bright red fruit notes to create a complex aroma. Nine months of aging in French and American Oak barrels adds sweet tones that complement the natural acidity of the wine. On the palate, and through to the finish, the bouquet carries over and merges with soft spice creating a balanced wine.

Ivory & Burt Chardonnay 2019

Aromas of slight golden apple and vanilla mingle pleasingly on the nose, with a hint of sweet toasty oak. As the opening notes carry over to the palate they meld with tropical fruit flavors. The influence of sur-lie aging lends a smooth richness to the wine, along with adding length to the finish.

Chateua La Branne 2016

Cru Bourgeois, a typical blend of Medoc wines with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. This wine is aged in barrels for one year. Ideal for aging, has lots of fruit, vanilla notes and fine tannins.

Chateau Dubarb Bel-Air 2016

The village of Puisseguin stands on the limestone plateau that extends east that of St EMilion. Our 8.5 ha vineyard is distinguished by a higher proportion of limestome, which is expressed in deep and elegant wines. Merlot, which reigns supreme throughout the Libournais, expresses here a wide range of aromas. From blackberry in its youth, it evolves towards notes of fig, and reveals accents of mint. On the palate our wines of Puisseguin St EMilion charm by a dense but fleshy texture.

Maison Chanzy Bourgogne Chardonnay Les Fortunes 2019

White Burgundy is typified by aromas and flavors of green apple and lemon and is defined by its structure and expression of minerality. White Burgundy vinified in stainless-steel tanks will emphasize its freshness, while aging in French oak barrels can lend accents of toast and vanilla.

Michel Magnien Coteaux Bourguignons 2015

Coteaux Bourguignons shows bright and fresh red-fruit character with notes of earth and spice. Various terroirs in the Côte de Nuits and some village-level wine contributes to the weight and richness to this otherwise fresh-tasting Burgundy unadorned with the taste of new oak. It’s a pure expression of red Burgundy from biodynamically farmed grapes.

2010 Petite Sirah Yorkville Highlands

The Yorkville Highlands enjoyed a long, cool summer in 2010, resulting in a high-quality vintage of balanced, approachable red wines. Our 2010 Petite Sirah is such a wine: it boasts forward fruit flavors of ripe cherries and blackberries, along with aromatic notes of dried rose petals and rosemary. Unlike previous vintages of this sturdy variety, it is ready to go right now and doesn’t require much cellar aging to enjoy with your favorite foods.
